However, the reader goes through the entire book in a MONOTONE. That is my only detraction. I plugged in this CD while driving to and from work; completed this book in about a month. Like..it's just Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc. without any sort of marker showing you where the different LIVES of people start. Due to this you can't just hop in your car and go, "Hey, I feel like listening to Plutarch teach me about Sulla today," and skip to that chapter unless you have a separate chapter key to tell you that Sulla is Chapter 482 (not the real chapter number I couldn't find it). The audio quality is good. The content is Plutarch, which is good. Having a compilation of biographies that doesn't let me see where one person's starts and another person's ends is cray cray. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from David -- Plutarch's : I bought this book because I've always been interested in history I got some dvds on the roman empire and they said that it was taken from Plutarch's writings and I was interested in reading Plutarch I haven't read the book yet but I'm sure it will be very interesting and I'm looking forward to reading it.
